The project sponsor is ultimately responsible for the project, supported by the other members of the project board and is the ultimate decision maker. The sponsor may also be referred to as the project executive. The senior supplier represents the interests of those designing, developing, facilitating, procuring and implementing the project’s products. This role is accountable for the quality of the products delivered by the supplier(s) and is responsible for the technical integrity of the project. This role may require more than one person to cover the interests of all suppliers.
